Olympics – The most complicated slot game of all time. (Part 2)

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this! Life got a little busy. *^_^*

Anywho! Today we’re going to finish up the guide for Olympics, which includes looking at the numerous minigames and other features.

If you missed part 1, please read it before you jump in! (Read Olympics part 1.)

Minigame Mayhem

First, a chart to list the minigames and where you can win them. (Winning a minigame means that you can play it!) As a reminder, “Right Flash” and “Left Flash” refer to the categories on the main screen.

3 Line Game

Technically the 3 Line Game is more of a bonus instead of a minigame, but man…. it’s AWESOME!

If you’re lucky enough to win it, you’ll be playing three lines at once!

3lines Ooooh!

I know the red lines are tiny, but that’s what it looks like to play three lines. ^_^ Alas, the three lines don’t last forever. You can win either 20 or 50 spins worth, plus whatever lines you have saved up in the Line Collector.

The 3 Line bonus is fabulous for most of the minigames!

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Arrow Game

You start out with a target in the middle of the bottom row.

Arrow Game Have I ever mentioned that I love Wii Archery?

Then you start spinning the slot wheels! If you recall, the first slot wheel often has a green directional arrow along with the image. These arrows move your target!

target moves to the right It’s just a step to the right!

As soon as you touch a prize (20, 40, 100, etc) then the game is over and that’s what you win. It’s VERY hard to reach the good prizes! Thankfully there isn’t a downward arrow, so you can only move upward!

Well, or just back and forth between left and right. That’s not quite as fun. :(

There isn’t any strategy for this one, and “holding” the 1st wheel won’t repeat whatever arrow is on it. Just spin and hope for the best!

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Direct Nudge Game

This is an interesting one. ^_^ You’ll get between 10-15 spins to use 9-14 nudges.

What’s a nudge? A nudge lets you adjust one wheel up or down.

directnudgespin Lovely red boxes!

Here you can see how many spins are left (15) and the nudge buttons below the wheels. But how do you know what to move? Well, the items on the slot wheels aren’t random! They have a set order that’s pictured in teeny-tiny images beside each wheel. If you don’t feel like pulling out a magnifying glass, you can always visit the official Olympics help page to see a full-size version of the list. Once you’re at the page look for this:

find slot wheels Helpful red box is helpful.

And there you have it!

This list is useful so you can figure out what’s the best way to move your slot wheels. But personally, I always pick “Auto” to figure it out for me. *^_^* Auto always goes for the best combination possible, but sometimes that might be 3 lemons.

If you have nudges and spins left, hit “Spin” again and try to nudge your way to another good combination. Nothing there? Then keep spinning until you find something that will work. But if you run out of spins, you’ll lose any remaining nudges.

IMPORTANT: Nudges can be stacked, so you could move one wheel 10 times if you wanted.

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Hurdle Race Game

I think this one is probably my favorite minigame. ^_^ You have a track, and three runners to get to the finish line. You only have 10 spins, so you really have to think with this one!

hurdle race mid-play Run, little men! Run!

In the second slot wheel there’s a die next to each item. Whatever you “roll” determines how many spaces you can move. Now the tricky part is that you can only move one of your runners on each spin! There’s a color-coordinated button below each slot wheel, and that’s how you pick which runner is going to move.

When one runner crosses the finish line you’ll pick up 3 more spins. If a 2nd runner crosses the finish line, you get 3 more spins again. If the third runner crosses the finish line you’ll get a Jackpot Game and an Olympics game! (The Olympics Game is described later. (Yes, I know it’s confusing to have a minigame called “Olympics Game” when the game itself is called Olympics.))

There are a few tricks along this board. Whenever you roll a six you automatically get one more spin. AND, if you land on any star on the board, you’ll jump ahead to the next star. The stars are placed six spaces apart, so if you’re lucky you can tear through the game without a problem. But you probably won’t be lucky, so pay attention to these tips. ^_^

Tip 1: Use no more than two runners at a time. One runner will get all of the 6’s, and the other runner will get all of the other numbers. As soon as one crosses the finish line, pull out the third runner to take its place.

Tip 2: If the game is going poorly and you’re running out of spins, try to land a runner on a +2 spot. This will add two more spins to your game! The runner has to land exactly on the spot for it to count.

You can also win minigames by collecting the items on the board. The hard part is that you have to collect the entire set in order to get the minigame! So far I haven’t been able to do it. :(

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Nudge Game

As I mentioned in the Direct Nudge section, a nudge simply lets you move one wheel either up or down. The regular Nudge Game isn’t quite as generous as the Direct Nudge, and you only get one spin to play with!

nudge game buttons Better make it count!

You get either 4, 6, or 8 nudges each game. I strongly recommend hitting Auto for this one! It will get you the best combination and if there isn’t a match available, it will say “No match available” in the stats bar. If there are any nudges left over at all, they will be saved for the next time you get a Nudge Game!

Saved nudges do not apply to the Direct Nudge Game. I have no idea why, but they don’t!

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Olympics Game

This is the Olympics minigame in Olympics. Try not to think about it too much.

olympics inside olympics

It’s like staring at eternity!

Honestly, this is one of the more boring minigames in here, which is a shame. You spin until you get a star on the middle line in the 3rd slot wheel. This lights up the bottom rung, which is 100 credits.

For the next five spins, whenever you get a star in the middle line, the next rung will light up.  If you get up to the top tier you’ll want a BAR instead of a star. But since you only have a 1 in 34 chance of landing on BAR, don’t hold your breath!

You probably won’t get very high in this ladder unless you’re either VERY lucky or have the 3 Line bonus. If you have 3 lines going then you’re guaranteed to do quite well. ^_^ Why? Well if you look at the wheel list, you’ll see that every 3rd item on the 3rd wheel is a star. So when you’re playing 3 lines, you’ll get a star every spin. Nice!

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Random Game

Alas, I don’t have a picture for this one. (And believe me, I tried!) When you get this one a screen will pop up with four options: Hurdle Race Game, Swim Game, Sailboat Game, and Sprint Game. Olympics will “flash” through the four items and whichever one it stops on is what you get to play!

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Sailboat Game

Trim the sail! Batten the hatches! Do sailing-type things!

Or spin/roll dice to move your ship around the board. That works too. ^_^

sailboatgame Yarr!!

“Steps” are how many moves you have left. So if you roll a 6, it will say “06” and count down for each space as you cross it. Like all of the other dice games, you can’t split a move!

“Game” means how many spins you have left. You start with only 10 spins! If you’re running low, try to land on a +2 to pick up two more spins!

You’ve probably noticed the items on the board. ^_^ There are life savers, anchors, and waves. Your goal is to collect these pieces, which you can only do if you land directly on the piece. Just passing over the piece won’t work. Gather an entire set to win a minigame! Weee!!

It’s fairly impossible to get an entire set the first time you set sail. Thankfully the pieces are saved between sailboat games! However, if you close Olympics at all, the pieces will reset on the board and you’ll have to start over. :(

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Select a Game

I’d say this one is pretty straight forward. ^_^

select a minigame You mean… I get to pick?

Yup! Pick whether you want to sprint, sail, jump hurdles, or swim! If you get this one, take a quick peek at the Magenta Shopping List to see if you need one of those games. Otherwise, pick what you want!

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Sprint Game

I tend to have terrible luck with this one, so it’s not exactly one of my faves.

sprintgame Oh dear.

You have 10 spins to move up the “stairs” and get to the “track.” Each time you get a star on the middle line you’ll go up one “step.”

Whenever you spin/roll a 6 you’ll get an extra spin, which is nice! But once you’re on the track the bonus is squiggled out. You’ll have to land on +3 to get more spins!

But that’s the end. At the very beginning it will “flash” between the two 20’s at the bottom. This determines your starting point. Here’s how the steps go:

  • Step 1 = 20 credits
  • Step 2 = 20 credits
  • Step 3 = 40 credits
  • Step 4 = 40 credits
  • Step 5 = 40 credits
  • Step 6 = 40 credits + 10 more spins

And then you’re on the track! Now, whenever you spin a star, the game will “flash” around the track at the top. Whatever you land on is your prize, and is grayed out so you can’t land on it again.

This game is awesome if you have the 3 line bonus going on. But if you don’t have it, you probably won’t get very far.

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Super Flash

The Super Flash is kinda fun. ^_^ The entire board lights up and the main screen is replaced with oodles of bonuses and minigames!

board lit for with Super FlashPretty colors!

The slot wheels will start spinning, and as they spin, the lights start winking out on the prizes. By the time the final wheel stops, there’s only one item lit up! That item is your prize. ^_^

highlighted prize 60 Jackpot Games?! WOOHOOO!!!

I haven’t figured out if there’s a connection between the slots and your prize, but even if there is, there’s nothing you can do to influence it. Just sit back and watch the colors!

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Super Game

This one lives up to it’s name! Or maybe I’m just really lucky with it. ^_^

Super Game It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No it’s… SUPER GAME!!!

You have a total of 10 spins, but they only kick in after you land on a star for the first time. When you get a star the game “flashes” through the items on the bottom row and the triangular Jackpot Flash! to the right. Whatever it stops on is your prize!

If it lands on an item at the bottom, that prize will “fall out” and the prizes above it will fall one spot down. If the flash lands on Jackpot Flash, a second flash will start. This time it will run through the Jackpot Games tower on the right. You can end up in the Jackpot Games section several times, but you can never win more than 60 Jackpot games.

After the 10 spins, Super Game will go through whatever prizes you’ve won.

  • BAR Games – If you land on BAR you’ll earn 1200 credits.
  • Star Games – If you land on a star you’ll earn 1200 credits.
  • JP Games – That was covered in the first Olympics post. ^_^

The prize games are played one at a time, starting with BAR and working to the right. If you didn’t win any BAR, star, or JP games then Super Game ends and you’ll get back to the main game!

Back to the table o’ minigames.

Swim Game

Adjust your floaties and get ready to swim some laps!

swimgame I’ve got my goggles on!

In Swim Game you start with 10 spins, and whenever you get a star on the middle line the game will “flash” through the bottom tier of prizes. If it stops on the +5 or +10 you’ll move up to the middle row, and will have that many spins for the middle! Land on +5 or +10 again and you’ll move to the top row!

The rows are played one at a time, starting with the highest row that you’ve reached.

swim game in progress Umm…. What??

It sounds really confusing, I know. It’s one of those things that will make more sense once you see it in action. ^_^

This is another game where it’s REALLY nice to have the 3 line bonus.

Back to the table o’ minigames.

That concludes the minigames! WOOHOO!!

Other Features

Olympics has an Auto-spin button, which is quite nice in theory. However, you can’t just turn it on and let the game go. With all of the minigames and bonuses, you’ll have to hit “Spin” to get it going every minute or so.

Despite this, Auto-spin is still pretty useful. You can turn it on while you’re surfing the web or playing other games! Just don’t forget to check back. ^_^

As with all Playtopia games, Olympics has a few trophies that you can get. They’re a teeny bit intimidating.

trophies They don’t look scary to me!

Yes, they’re lovely trophies. Now here’s what you have to do to get them! (The reward for getting the trophy is listed next to the name.)

Basic Olympics – 10,000 tokens

  • 2 Jackpot Games
  • 4 Super Games (in one game)
  • 5 Sprint Games (in one game)
  • 5 Sailboat Games (in one game)
  • 5 Hurdle Race Games (in one game)
  • 5 Swim Games (in one game)
  • 100,000 tokens won (in one game)

Expert Olympics – 25,000 tokens

  • 1 Extra Spin
  • 4 Jackpot Games (in one game)
  • 8 Super Games (in one game)
  • 10 Sprint Games (in one game)
  • 10 Sailboat Games (in one game)
  • 10 Hurdle Race Games (in one game)
  • 10 Swim Games (in one game)
  • 300,000 tokens won (in one game. I kid you not!)

Olympic Fighter – 100,000 tokens

  • 50 Extra Spins (total)
  • 500 Super Games (total)
  • 1,000 Sprint Games (total)
  • 1,000 Sailboat Games (total)
  • 1,000 Swim Games (total)
  • 1,000 Super Flash Games (total)
  • 2,000,000 tokens won (total)

Olympic Champion – 250,000 tokens

  • Must have Olympic Fighter trophy
  • 100 Extra Spins (total)
  • 500 Jackpot Spins (total)
  • 1,000 Super Games (total)
  • 1,500 Olympics Games (total (This is the Olympics minigame))
  • 2,000 Hurdle Race Games (total)
  • 2,000 Weightlift Games (total)
  • 4,000,000 tokens won (total)

I told you these were some intimidating trophies! o_O And in case you were wondering, “games” means each time you play. Not each spin in that minigame.

Achieving 100,000 and 300,000 tokens in one game may take a few days. So if you have a lousy connection or have to use a public computer, you can count the Basic and Expert trophies out. But you still have a chance for the Fighter and Champion trophies! ^_^

I know I always say that I like a challenge, but this one is a bit much for me!

Final Rating

Initially I found the chaos of Olympics to be overwhelming. There were just so many things going on at once, and I didn’t know what any of them meant! I turned to the Playtopia manual for Olympics, and that made my head hurt even more. *^_^* It reads like it was translated from another language, but it isn’t a very good translation.

Here’s the help section for the Weightlift minigame:

You get this game after hitting 3 x Melon, Lemon or Cherry (green winning board) when all light squares are on at the same time. The game gives you a flash, and is then active in 5 games. Weight pole gives winnings, and lights a weight pole square. When all 4 squares are lighted a flash is given between 200, Bonus, Extra, Flash Game and Super Game. Weightlift Game is not saved, but executed when it is won, except from when Direct Nudge Game is playing.

Does anyone understand that? Now that I know how it’s played I can kinda-sorta get what they’re saying, but as a new player I was completely baffled.

Once I figured everything out, the game lost its anxiety-inducing chaos. ^_^ I always feel MUCH better once I know how a game works! (Although writing it all out has been a total pain in the ass. >_<)

I respect how challenging this game must have been for the programmers, but Olympics is just too busy for me. 4 stars out of 5.

Of course, that’s just my take on it! I know at least one person who loves Olympics and I’m guessing she’d rate this one a 5. ^_^ What would you rate it? Are there any parts that are still confusing?

Olympics – Super-complicated-slots, activate! (Part 1)

Olympics is a slot game at Playtopia. Heavens above, this is THE most complicated slots game that I’ve ever played. And I’ve played a lot of slots!

Take a look! This is the main screen in Olympics.

olympicboard Holy frijoles… and a side of beans. o_O

There is a LOT going on, and it can be a little overwhelming at first. So, today we’re going to focus on the different sections in Olympics. The next post will be about the various and sundry minigames you can play.  Enjoy!

Breaking Down the Board

Here’s everything divided into solid color sections. I assume you know what slot wheels look like, so I left those uncovered. ^_^

simplified board Ooooh! It’s like a jigsaw puzzle!

Yup, each section does something different. This is a very busy game!

Section 1: Jackpot

Every now and then you’ll win something like “60 Jackpot games.” And then you’ll see this:

jackpotgame A jackpot? For me?? You shouldn’t have!

What happens now is that you’ll spin the slots until you get a BAR on the middle line. Once this happens the Jackpot section will start “flashing” through the prizes, which are 2200, 1600, 2400, 1800, 2000 credits or a Bonus Spin. You win whatever the flash stops on. In the picture above I won 2200 tokens. Woot! ^_^

After this win you start going through your “games.” One spin of the slot wheels = 1 JP game. Whenever you get a BAR on the middle line you’ll flash through the prizes again.

This keeps going on until you’re out of spins. From what I can tell, 60 is the max number of JP spins you can win.

What happens if you land on Bonus Spin? Well, if you play Playtopia at all, this will look very familiar.

bonusspin Bonus!!

The Bonus Spin has several prizes ranging from 500 tokens to 5000. Oh! and one of the prizes is listed as “Bank.” If you get this one, you win ALL of the tokens listed under the Jackpot!

bank Ooooh! I’d like that!

Getting a Bonus Spin is pretty rare in the first place, so if you manage to win the bank too, dance for joy!

Section 2: Ladders to Greatness

I have no idea what the actual term for this section is, but “Ladders to Greatness” works for me.

section2 Whatever floats yer boat.

The three sections have their own names: Bonus, Extra, and Super. But how do you get there? Well, in several Olympics’ minigames you’ll see a prize simply listed as Bonus, Extra, or Super.

Yes, the two are connected. ^_^ Let’s say you win a Bonus. The green section will “flash” through the listed prizes and eventually stop on one. That’s your prize!

However, at the very top of the Bonus (above the 600) there are three arrows pointing to the right. If the flash stops on that, then you’ll move to the Extra section! Once again, a “flash” will run through the prizes and stop at your prize. There are three arrows here too, and if it stops on that, you get the Super section.

The top prize here is a Bonus Spin, but it’s hard to get! (Yes, it’s the same Bonus Spin that’s used in the Jackpot game.) You can’t cycle back to the Bonus section, so enjoy your prize!

Section 3: Line Collector

This one took me a little while to figure out.

section3 linecollector How does it work?

Line Collector is basically a minigame that runs in the background, so you really don’t need to worry about it.

Zoom in on the slot wheels and I’ll tell ya how it works.

    linecollectorspin Okay. I zoomed.

See how there are green arrows in the first slot wheel? And see how there are dice in the second slot wheel? Well, when there’s an up arrow paired with a 1 die, the line collector fills the gauge to that spot. To move it higher you’ll have to pair an up arrow with a 2 die.

line collector gaugeAnd so on.

It has to be done in order, so you can’t skip straight to #6 or anything like that. BUT, once the gauge fills up, the 3 lines bank will increase by 1.

The bank holds up to 20 lines. To get them you have to win the 3 Lines prize. (This lets you play three lines on the slot wheels instead of just one line.) The 3 Lines prize is available on just a few games, but it’s AWESOME when you have it! ^_^

Don’t worry about trying to fill the line collector. Just let it run in the background and enjoy the extra lines when you win them!

Section 4: Red Shopping List

Once again, this isn’t the official name. But it works for me.

section4 shopping list Uh-huh.

This is another minigame that runs in the background. You start at the very bottom of the list and you have to get each item in order to move to the next row.

Now you may have noticed that there are three columns in the red shopping list. This mirrors the three slot wheels! So, for example, an item in the first column can only be crossed off the list if it’s found in the first slot wheel.

3 rows red list Sorry for the blur.

In the above picture, I’ll need to find a medal in the 2nd slot wheel and a BAR in the 3rd. Only then can I move up to the next row!

Although you can only work on one row at a time, the items don’t have to be found in order. I could get a BAR before the medal and that would be fine.

Once you finish the list you’ll win a Direct Nudge minigame. This will be explained a little later. Sorry! *^_^*

After you finish you’ll get a new shopping list to work on. Woohoo!! There really isn’t a strategy to finishing the red list, so spin and don’t worry about it!

Section 5: Flash Game

No, you don’t need to call the police to report indecent exposure. :P

section5 flash game Whew! I was worried for a moment!

The Flash Game is a reward, much like the Ladders to Greatness. (You know, section 2!) When you win it, the game “flashes” through each of the prizes listed. The list never changes, and the prizes vary from 50 rounds of 3 Lines to a 4 Nudge game.

Section 6: Main Screen

Most of the time you’ll see just the default screen here. It looks like this!

section6 Ummm… Kay?

Yeah, not terribly interesting. It’s a list of minigames that you can play. Olympics divides this section into “Left Flash” and “Right Flash.” (They seem to REALLY like that word.)

If you spin 3 soccer balls, 3 trophies, or 3 trophy stands, you’ll trigger the Left Flash. Spin 3 sevens or 3 BARs and you’ll get the Right Flash.

Whichever one you get, the game will “flash” through the items in that section. Whatever it stops on is what you get! (Landing on “Next Flash” means you get to “flash” through the games in the right-hand section.)

Most of the prizes are minigames which will be covered later. However! It’s important to note that pretty much all of the minigames take place on the main screen. The categories you see now will vanish, and the minigame pops up in its place.

Think of it like a tv screen. ^_^

Section 7: Stats Bar

Directly above the Main Screen is a tiny bar. You may have to squint to see it.

section7*Squint* I see it!

This little bar often holds a lot of information. When it gets full it will scroll across, which is always fun to try and read. >_<

Anywho! At its most basic, the stats bar lists how many nudges you have saved and how many credits (game tokens) you’ve won.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, Olympics has a TON of minigames. Often you win more minigames through minigames, so it becomes an odd (but entertaining) cycle. ^_^ Well, any time you win a minigame that you can’t play yet, the Stats Bar will say something like “S  Jackpot Game” before it goes back to its regular routine. This just means that whenever you get finished with your current minigame, you’ll move on to the Jackpot Game.

But until then, right after the “Nudge Saved” it will say “Game Saved 1.” I’m playing Olympics as I write, and right now I see “Game Saved 4.”

Ooooh! And I just won 2000 credits in the Super section. Sweet!!

*Ahem*

At any rate, the stats bar can be quite useful. If you’re lucky enough to win 3 Lines, it will also tell you how many spins you have left of them. “3 Line Game – 44” means you have 44 spins left with the 3 line bonus.

Section 8: Magenta Shopping List

This is totally different from the Red Shopping List, and I personally think it’s more fun too.

section 8 magenta shopping list Come on, Bar Bar Bar!

There are a total of 14 items on the list, and you can only check one off after you finish the previous item. Often you need to get that item multiple times, such as five #5 dice. Generally you only need to get minigames once.

You actually can use a bit of strategy with the Magenta Shopping List. Every now and then you get to pick which minigame you play, so always check to see if one of the games is an “item” that you currently need!

When you finish all 14 items, you trigger the Extra Spin. This is like the Bonus Spin, only with bigger prizes!! This time they range from 2500-50000 credits! o_O And of course, the Bank is also listed as a prize.

Completing the Magenta Shopping List is the only way to earn the Extra Spin. Enjoy it!

Once you get your prize the list resets and you start back at item #1.

Section 9: The Blue Wonder

I’ll admit it. This one is kinda weird.

section9 Ooooh! Glowing ping-pong balls!

When you spin 3 torches or stopwatches, in addition to the credits you’ll get.. a glowing ping-pong ball. If you spin 3 medals then you get two glowing ping-pong balls.

bluewonder Shiny!

See that track that curves around the bottom of section 6? (The Main Screen.) Well, the ping-pong balls are dropped in there one at a time. The ball will “flash” along the track until it eventually stops.

Now here’s the weird part: Unless the ping-pong ball lands on the very last spot in the track, nothing will happen. Really!

The very last spot says “Flash!” underneath, and it will trigger the Flash Game in section 5. (I told you this is a complicated slots game!)

All of the other spots? They’re just filler. On the upside, with more spots in the track filled, you have better odds of getting the Flash Game. But it can take a LONG time to fill the track.

Oh, and sometimes you might get the Flash Game on your first ping-pong ball. That’s always nice. ^_^

Section 10: Weight Lift

Fruit is good for your body! And that’s the only way you’ll trigger the Weight Lift minigame too.

section10 weight lift

Ba-dum-bum-CHING!

Whenever you spin 3 watermelons, 3 lemons, or 3 cherries, you get a green ping-pong ball. This goes into a notch by the fruit, so you can keep track of how many ping-pong balls you have.

weightlift A little weird, but okay.

In order to trigger Weight Lift you have to fill one of the lines by the fruit, and then get one more 3 of a kind. So you need to get 3 watermelons four times, 3 lemons four times, or 3 cherries five times.

Got that? ^_^

As soon as you trigger Weight Lift, Olympics will “flash” through all of the prizes in the body. (See? It’s in the shape of a weight lifter!) Whatever it stops on is your prize!

After that you have five more spins to try and get an item in the 3rd slot wheel that has a barbell on it. If you get one you’ll “flash” through the weight lifter’s body again, and the little gauge with barbells will go up one mark.

When the gauge fills up, the prize column to the right will “flash.” (The top prize is SuperGame.) Luckily, the gauge level is saved between rounds.

That covers the various sections in Olympics. The next post will cover the minigames and extra features. Oi!

Update: Part 2 is finally up! Read more about the most complicated slots game I’ve ever seen. (Olympics part 2)

Spigo Scratch Cards - Exactly what it sounds like.

I love scratch cards. ^_^ They are AWESOME! Thus far, Spigo is the only site I’ve found with daily scratch cards. (Slingo used to have one, but it’s been gone a long while. Sad. ~_~)

Each day you’ll get 6 new scratch cards, and you can earn several more as you go along.  Here’s how they work!

Quick Scratch

Each day you get three Quick Scratch cards.

quick-scratch Big money!

Use the coin to scratch off all of the spaces. If you find 3 matching images, you win a prize!

quick-scratch Ooh! Ooh! I won…. nothing. :(

Possible prizes are 50-1000 Spigos, $20, $50, $100, or the current Jackpot. The Jackpot has a max prize of $200!

All I’ve ever won are Spigos, but those are good to have too. ^_^

Zodiac Signs

In Zodiac Signs you pick one of your friends to “play” with. They don’t participate, but if you win anything you’ll share it with them.

Zodiac Signs Who should I pick today?

And no, you can’t opt to play this by yourself. Even if you haven’t made any friends yet, Spigo is still on the list. :)

Zodiac Signs Fishies!!

Scratch off all of the circles. You want to see your astrological sign AND your friend’s. That’s where you get the big tokens. ^_^ Top prize is $100 that goes to each of you!

Diamond Hunt

Diamond Hunt is really 3 scratchcards in one, if you ask me.

Diamond Hunt Umm… what?

You’ll eventually scratch all of the squares, so you can’t mess anything up. ^_^ In Mine 1 you want to find 3 matching jewels.

Mine 1 in Diamond Hunt Blast. No luck!

With Mine 2 you only need to find 2 matching jewels.

Mine 2 in Diamond Hunt Yay!!! I won something!!

In the last section you have a statue of a bird with one jewel as an eye. You want to find the other matching jewel!

Diamond Hunt Curses. No luck again!

The prizes are all Spigos, so don’t feel terrible if you strike out with all 3 parts. Just move on to the next card. ^_^

Bingo Scratch

This is one of my favorites!

Bingo Scratch Bingo!

In Bingo Scratch you have 4 different Bingo cards at the bottom. You scratch off the numbers at the top, and they’ll automatically scratch off on the cards. If any of your cards match a set pattern (listed in the top right corner) you win Spigos!!

Bingo Scratch Yay!! I winz!!!

I like the rainbow of Bingo balls. ^_^

Jackpot Scratch

This one is very different from the other cards. For starters, you don’t automatically get any Jackpot Scratch cards each day.

So how do you get them? Well, the first time you get a jackpot spin on any of the regular games (Diamonds, Treasure Hunter, Jigsaw Puzzle, etc) you’ll get a Jackpot Scratch card. You can get one Jackpot Scratch card per game, per day!

Now, how do you play this one?

Jackpot Scratch Umm.. No clue.

As you can see, there are 14 numbers on the left, and several prizes all around it. If you take a moment to count you’ll see that there are a total of 12 prizes listed and 3 “Blanks.” Have you figured it out yet? ^_^

Jackpot ScratchStill clueless.

As you scratch off the numbers, you’ll reveal prizes. Each prize you reveal is then removed from the prize pool. Whatever is left at the end is your prize!

finished Jackpot Scratch card Wait.. Did I just win 10,000 Spigos?!

See? One item left, and it’s 10,000 Spigos. ^_^ There are three cash jackpots too. Not bad!

As far as I can tell, the Jackpot Scratch cards don’t expire. All of the other cards are gone after a day, but these? They stick around. You could amass a huge pile of them if you wanted to!

Super Jackpot

The Super Jackpot isn’t a scratch card, but it’s Spigo’s main attraction. It’s a massive jackpot spread across ALL of the Spigo sites. There are two ways it can be won.

  1. A random draw triggered by a number generator. The generator will pick one ticket as the winner. The rest of the tickets are “used up” and everyone starts back at zero.
  2. The Super Jackpot slot machine. Each day you can use 3 of your tickets for three chances at the slot machine. If you win the Super Jackpot everyone will get to keep their tickets.

In case you’ve forgotten, you buy tickets with Spigos. ^_^ Now, here’s how to buy tickets.

There are two paths. Path 1: Click on the green SUPER JACKPOT button in the upper right corner on Spigo.

Super Jackpot Thar she blows!

Path 2: Click on the “tickets” link in the left sidebar.

Tickets for Super Jackpot That’s a lotta tickets. o_O

Whichever route you pick, you’ll end up at the “Buy Tickets” screen. If you don’t have any tickets yet, go ahead and buy some! From there, click on the Super Jackpot link in the bottom right corner.

This way to the super jackpot! This is overly complicated.

Huzzah!!! You found the Super Jackpot machine!

Super Jackpot machineDear Santa, I WANT TO WIN!!!!

Pull the lever three times to see if you win! Even if you don’t win the big prize, you still might win Spigo merchandise or Spigos.

When the current Super Jackpot is over $50,000, well.. Spigos aren’t a great consolation prize. *^_^*

Final Rating

I love scratch cards. ^_^ Wait.. I already said that? Well it’s true, dangit! I wish more sites had them!!

For the sheer joy and uniqueness of them, I rate the daily games at Spigo 4 stars out of 5. What would you rate them? Do you have a favorite scratch card?

Similar Games

Well whaddya know? I can’t list any similar games because NO ONE ELSE HAS SCRATCH CARDS!! Untapped market here, people! Get to it!

The best I can offer you are links to games of chance. Good luck! ^_^
