Open Discussion: What could society do without?

Oh heavens… There’s a LOT that we could do without. But part of me would love to see a world without automobiles. Can you imagine it? Gasoline would still be needed for boats and planes, but the air in the cities would be sooooo much cleaner. (Random factoid: I once had a temp job where I dressed up as Lady Liberty and waved at passing cars. Roads STINK!)

In my dream world I imagine that we wouldn’t have as many paved roads either, and there’d be more trees and parks left standing.

It’s an interesting thought. ^_^ What do you think we could do without?
